| Mark in one (or two) paragraph(s): The shortest, and probably earliest gospel, Mark shows us a Jesus who heals, casts out demons and encounters more and more opposition as he proceeds to the cross. Mark has no need for stories of Jesus' birth, and no need for appearances of Jesus' after his resurrection. Indeed the abrupt ending of Mark startles the reader and, by its open nature, invites us to enter the story and provide our own ending. |
