Fans of the program know about Jack Hartman. Fans with a sense of history know about Tex Winter. But it is rare for Jack Gardner's name to come up in conversation.
He was coach from 1939-1942 and 1946-1953. Here's what he did: a record of 147-81. Two final four teams. One team in the national championship game. The man who made Ahearn field house happen.
